RECOIL: Glock 17 vs Glock 17C

I’m a big fan of Porting. I prefer it over a screw on comp. Porting, in my experience cuts about 10% to 20% recoil and reliability is completely unaffected. Screw on comps, in my experience, sometimes require a change of recoil spring or cause occasional reliability issues. I have a few factory poted guns and a bunch of Staccato Pistols I had ported and they have been 100% reliable through over 20,000 rounds. This Glock 17C has over 2000 trouble free rounds through it.
